5. Fletcher Woods, RHP, 23, Mississippi State

Tops out at 99, has 80 grade fastball and curve.  Can throw both for strikes, could be a future closer.

6. Axel Manto Jr., RHP, 22, Notre Dame

Top Prospects, starting pitchers

1. Alex Munoz, LHP, 22, Oklahoma State

Throws 95-97 from a 3/4 angle.  Big, durable frame. Above average with fastball, slider, and curve, developing a circle change.  Control is only average.

2.  Richard Baker, RHP, 21, New Mexico

Throws a fastball 94-96, sharp curve, slider, and change.  Control is only average, stuff should get him strikeouts.

3. Stanton Bentley, LHP, Clarkstown North (NY) high school

Strong arm, throws 97-99 with good sink on his fastball.  Developing his slider and change.  Potential to start if his control improves.

4. Zach Cole, LHP, 21, Pepperdine

Fastball can be overwhelming at 97-99. Developing his curve and changeup, Should be a solid starter.

5. Jason Curling, LHP, 20, Cal State-Northridge

A big, 6-5 pitcher, throws 97-99 mph fastball from a sidearm angle.  Durable enough to start but needs to develop control and offspeed pitches.  If limited to the bullpen he could be dominant.

6. Carl Daniels, RHP, 17, Lakeside (GA) high school

Throws his sinker 91-93 with tremendous movement, gets a lot of ground balls.  His changeup is rudimentary and has not thrown a real breaking ball.

7. John Davis, RHP, 22, Consumes River

Fastball/slider guy, working on change, has hit triple digits.  Probably will fit in the bullpen down the road.

8. Mike Durham, RHP, 17, Hayward (CA) high school

Throws 94-96, good frame, should be durable when he fills out.  Good fastball, working on curve and split change.

9. River Gregory, RHP, 21, Miami

Power pitcher, can hit 98 MPH with a straight over the top delivery.  Complements the fastball with a slider and change, chance to develop average control.

10. Chris Hall, RHP, 22, Rice

Great raw stuff, can hit triple digits.  Solid forkball and cutter.  Command is still coming around, could develop into a #2 starter.

11. Dave Hall, RHP, 20, Manhattan

Explosive stuff, tops out at 98.  Throws a splitter, cutter, slider, curve, and change.

12. Vincent Harris, RHP, 21, Wichita State

Gets a lot of groundballs with a sinking fastball thrown at 96-98 MPH, curve and slider are both above average. Raw, needs to improve control.

13. Don Kielty, RHP, 22, Cal State

Tops out at 98-100, also throws splitter, slider, change, and curve.  Splitter is second best pitch and is potentially above average.

14.  Ben Kollar, RHP, 21, Oregon State

Pairs a swing and miss fastball (97-99) with a great slider.  Control should be at least average.

15.  Jim Lake, RHP, 21, Portland

Had an 11-4 record with 180 strikeouts in 136 innings after a standout career at Arcadia Oaks high.  In high school he pitched while also saving the world from the evil troll Gunmar.  Throws 95-97, average control, with 4 potentially above average pitches, a cutter, curve and change to go with his fastball.

16. Chris Pierce, RHP, 18, Bryan (NE) high school

Throws 93-95, has a good cutter, fringy curve and changeup.  Control is average, durable arm should stick in rotation if he develops as expected.

17. Jimmy Potter, LHP, 20, California Berkeley

Nicknamed "Grand Wizard", Potter is a two sport athlete who also excelled in Quidditch.  Gets ground balls with a sinking, 98-100 MPH fastball. Potentially above average curve and slider, does not mix speeds well and control should be average.  Will get a chance to stick in the rotation, but the fallback option would be a dominant lefty reliever.

18.  Anthony Vincent, LHP, 21, North Carolina State

Throws 95-97 with 4 solid pitches, a slider, curve, and forkball.

Top Draft Prospects, batters

Hitters:

1. CF Peter Fox, age 22, Buffalo

Lefty batter whose calling cards are speed and defense.  Should develop into an average hitter with average power.  Good defender at all three OF spots with a strong arm.  Also has pitched,  mostly featuring a lefty knuckleball, but his pro future is in the field.

2. 3B Roger Gabriel, 22, Florida Gulf Coast

Power bat, good eye for strike zone.  Good hands and strong arm at 3rd but speed is below average.  Could be a Ron Santo or Helmut Schmidt type of player.

3. 2B Dave Hollis, age 19, Burkburnett (TX) high school

Good instincts with the glove, average speed, strong contact skills at the plate.  Arm is only average, limiting him to second base, but he is quick on the DP pivot.

4. CF Arnold Ramirez, 18, Lynwood (CA) high school

Elite, 80 grade speed.  Excellent hitter, no trouble making contact.  Hit .610 in his senior season.  No power, will not walk much as he puts the ball in play early in the count.  Raw on defense but with his speed should develop into a plus defender. Arm is a tick above average.

5. 2B Thomas Weber, 18, Zimmerman (MN) high school

Line drive hitter with plus speed.  Will not hit for power, arm is below average, range and hands are fine to stick in the infield.

6. RF Kevin Barnard, 18, Midland Christian (TX) high school

Smooth swing and quick hands, should develop into a strong defender with average power.  Does not have a single standout tool but does everything well.

7. CF Foster Brown, 20, Georgia Tech

Above average speed and range, makes consistent contact.  Not much power, will be a singles hitter, arm is below average.

8. C Ernest Carroll, 20, Arkansas

Projects to deliver above average hitting with plus power.  Solid defender though his arm is only average. His selectivity at the plate needs work.

9. SS Patrick Coote, 20, Oregon State

A long, lean, athletic shortstop, arm and range are outstanding.  Speed a bit above average.  Could develop into an average hitter, does not hit for much power.

10. CF Michael Crabtree, 18, Cliffside Park (NJ) high school

A tall (6-4), toolsy, athletic outfielder, Crabtree is not related to the NFL wide receiver of the same name, although he was also a standout receiver at Cliffside park.  Crabtree has plus speed, a solid arm, and above average power potential.  He could be an all-star if he develops as a hitter.

11. CF Bryan Durham, 17, Chickasha (OK) high school

Outstanding pure speed.  Advanced hitter for his age, plenty of bat speed and does a good job squaring up the ball.  Throwing arm is average.  Chance to be average or above in all tools.

12. CF Maxwell Hood, 18, Keystone (IN) high school

Speedy player who projects to be a standout defender in center field with a very strong arm.  Above average contact skills, below average power.

13. 3B Draal Kanjigarson, 23, East Carolina

Son of a former Trollhunter, his native of Trollmarket consistently puts the bat on the ball.  Good pitch recognition, excellent raw power.  Thick, strong build.  Speed below average.  Good hands and arm in the infield, has experience up the middle but best fits at 3rd base.

14. CF Patrick McFarland, 19, Abbeville (AL) high school

Only 5'9 but has the skills to play.  Good speed and defense, solid hitter with surprising pop in his bat.

15. SS Jorge Rivera, 21, Georgetown

Strong arm, lots of range and a fast baserunner. Solid contact hitter but does not project as more than a bottom of the order bat.

16. CF Russ Roeder, 21, Portland

Power to hit the ball out of any park.  Solid defender, arm is not great.  Not much speed on the bases. Hit 21 homers in 54 college games.  Will start at MLB level if he can make consistent contact.

17. CF Raul Saldana, 22, Rochester Tech

Elite speed, aggressive hitter.  Raw in the outfield but should play there with average arm and plus range.

18. SS Matt Sheehan, 22, North Carolina State

Despite a big frame does not offer much power.  Could be a decent contact hitter.  Speed below average, but he excels defensively with solid hands, a strong arm, and good fundamentals.  Versatile enough to make a very good utility man.

19. 2B Wade Shook, 22, Arizona State

Plus speed, solid defender with average arm.  Makes consistent contact.

20.  SS Ron Watkins, 21, Florida Atlantic

Plus speed, arm and range are solid but he sometimes has trouble with the routine play. Solid average hitter, has good eye and average power.

21.  SS Jose Canusee, 18, Morton (MS) high school

Thinks the national anthem is all about him.  Plus speed, arm, and range.  Free swinger but makes solid contact and should hit for decent average.

22. SS Azari Firedancer, 22, Dallas Baptist

This fire elf is a tremendous defender, with outstanding range, arm, and hands.  Will struggle at the plate and is not going to be more than a bottom of the order hitter, but defense is good enough to play anyway.

23. CF Cronan King, 18, Westview (AZ) high school

This elf declared himself king of the goblins at an early age.  Quick bat, should make solid contact with some power.  Not a selective hitter.  Speedy baserunner with good range in field, but arm might limit him to left field.

24. C Faran Leafshade, 21, Minnesota

Plus defender with a strong arm, this elf already knows how to handle a pitching staff.  Ordinary hitter, can make solid contact with below average power.

25.  1B Emily Richardson, 18, Conant (IL) high school

She is 1/4 elf.  Hit .519 in her senior season.  Smooth swing, quick hands, and good pitch recognition.  Power grades out as average.
