Game 1

Road Win Lifts Las Vegas to 1-0 Lead in R3

The Las Vegas Gamblers powered past the hometown Boston Beaneaters, 3-1, in the opener of the League Series at Fenway Park today. Las Vegas starting pitcher Ben Angus threw 5.2 innings allowing 1 runs, to lead the charge. The Gamblers now lead the series 1-0.

Las Vegas relied on the hitting of Yoon-tae Kim to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Gamblers on top, 2-1. For the game, Kim had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"We played a good game and came out on top," said Kim.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Fenway Park in Boston.

Game 2

Raucous Fenway Park Crowd Propels Beaneaters to 3-1 Victory; Series Tied at 1

The Boston Beaneaters topped the Las Vegas Gamblers by the score of 3-1 and moved into a 1-1 tie in the League Series today. The largest share of the credit belongs to Boston starter Ignacio Robles, who threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball in the win.

Robles, who was born in Guayanilla, Puerto Rico, threw 93 pitches over 7 innings, while allowing 1 run.

"Feels good to get the job done," Robles said after the game.

Game 3 is scheduled for Monday at Gambler Field in Las Vegas.

Game 3

Pimentel Blasts Gamblers, Beaneaters Take Game 3, 8-3

Riding the 4-hit performance of designated hitter Ramon Pimentel, the Boston Beaneaters got a road win against the Las Vegas Gamblers, 8-3, in Game 3 of the League Series today. Pimentel was 4 for 5 with 2 home runs and 2 singles, while scoring 3 and driving in 3 for the Beaneaters, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 1.

Boston used a well-timed hit by Lonnie Ritson to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Beaneaters ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"Every team in baseball loses," Gamblers manager Ray Brooks said. "We're in the playoffs and we still have the same guys that got us here. We'll bounce back."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Gambler Field in Las Vegas.

Game 4

Gamblers Clip Beaneaters 6-5 in R3 Contest

Handed an opportunity to take a commanding lead in the League Series, the Boston Beaneaters could not close the deal.

Game 4 went into extra frames and the Las Vegas Gamblers emerged victorious, earning a 10-inning, 6-5 win. Boston second baseman Alex Guerrero was terrific in the loss. He was 2-3 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once at Gambler Field today but could not prevent the Gamblers from clawing their way back to parity. The clubs are now tied 2-2 in the best-of-7 series.

Las Vegas won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With two outs and Scot Johnson on the mound for Boston, shortstop Albert Carrillo hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Gamblers fans to their feet.

"What a great win for our team," said a jubilant Ray Brooks, the Las Vegas manager.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Gambler Field in Las Vegas.

Game 5

Host Gamblers Drop Pivotal Game 5, Now Trail Series 3-2

The Boston Beaneaters went into extra innings against the Las Vegas Gamblers but ultimately moved to within one game of the Championship Series today.

The Beaneaters downed the Gamblers at Gambler Field by a score of 4-3. Even as his squad took the loss, Las Vegas left-hander Ben Angus threw 6.0 innings of 3-hit ball. The win gives the Beaneaters a 3-2 advantage in the best-of-7 League Series.

Boston used a clutch hit from Ezra Sullivan to get the win. The third baseman drilled a solo home run in the top of the 14th inning to put the Beaneaters ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We did enough to win," said Sullivan.

The next game is set to be played for Friday, October 25th, 2024 at Fenway Park in Boston.

Game 6

Beaneaters Advance to Championship Series

Boston Beaneaters fans are rejoicing after a 7-2 win at Fenway Park has propelled the club to a 4-2 League Series victory over the Las Vegas Gamblers.

With the win, the club advanced on to the Championship Series.

"Total team effort, that's the only way we get it done in this one," said Boston left fielder Ramon Pimentel, who was named series MVP.

The Boston Beaneaters don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Denver Rabbits - Bay Area Bandits series. Denver leads the series 3 games to 2. The Championship Series schedule will be announced after the League Series finishes.
