Game 1

Gamblers Top Mud Hens 8-5 to Begin R2

The Las Vegas Gamblers faced a tough opponent in Toledo Mud Hens third baseman Jorge Hernandez, but did just enough to pull out a win in Game 1 of the Division Series, which they now lead 1-0. The Gamblers won 8-5 at Gambler Field, despite the efforts of Hernandez, who was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once.

Albert Carrillo dealt the Mud Hens a blow in the bottom of the second. Batting with runners on 1st and 2nd and Las Vegas leading 1-0, Carrillo hit a 1-2 splitter for a 2-run triple.

"I just tried to make good contact," said Carrillo.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Gambler Field in Las Vegas.

Game 2

Las Vegas Wins Again, 3-1

The Las Vegas Gamblers moved to within one game of the League Series today, downing the visiting Toledo Mud Hens at Gambler Field by a score of 3-1. Gamblers right-hander Shawn Finley had a strong outing in which he threw 7.2 innings of 4-hit ball. The win gives the Gamblers a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-5 Division Series.

Finley delivered a quality start for Las Vegas. The 6' 2" right-hander allowed 1 earned run on 4 hits over 7.2 innings of work.

"We're happy," Finley told reporters after the win. "When you're in the playoffs, you've got to treat every game like it could be your last."

The next game is set to be played for Monday, October 14th , 2024 at Toledo Ballpark in Toledo.

Game 3

Gamblers Move on to League Series

The Las Vegas Gamblers made it look easy and are heading to the League Series.

They have ousted the Toledo Mud Hens in a sweep, the final win coming by a 6-3 score, clinching the 3-0 series win.

"Everything's clicking for us right now," said Ken Sanders, who was named MVP for the series.

Sanders hit .385 with a .429 on-base percentage. He added 1 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 5 runs.

The Las Vegas Gamblers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Boston Beaneaters - Utah Utes series. Boston leads the series 2 games to 1. The League Series schedule will be announced after the Division Series finishes.
