Major League Championship Series Game 1

Rene St. Clair vs. Pedro Lewis...Top of the 1st, Hollywood takes the lead on a John Conner hit and run single that sends Elvis Dixon to third with no outs, that sets up a Geoff Favre DP as the run scores. In the third, another Conner hit and run, this time a double, scores Dixon to make it 2-0 Hollywood. In the 6th, a Roy Brown singles scores Favre to make it 3-0. After New York goes scoreless in the bottom of the inning, New York elects to pull Pedro Lewis after 6 innings and 25 batters, in favor of Chuck Rader to face some of the Hollywood lefties. The lefty Cardonia then lines one off the wall for the leadoff double. After a St. Claire sacrifice bunt, New York pulls the infield in for Elvis Dixon. Dixon grounds hard to third, but Tim Griffin makes a fine play to retire Dixon and hold the runner. New York then intentionally walks Conner to face the lefty Favre. Favre flies out deep to right to end the inning. Bottom of the 7th:

New York then retires Hollywood in the 8th with Fritz Jones doing the pitching.
In the bottom of the 8th, Manfred makes an out, then Chad White follows with a single and stolen base. Keith Lee then singles to center to score White to make it 3-2. Brett Solo then flies out deep to left, and Garrison lines out to third base to end the 8th.
