Utah vs Toledo Game 1

Utah sends playoff tested Keith Langford to the mound, and the Mud Hens go with 20 year old rookie Chris Johnson. Toledo scored first, on a Steve Freeman 2 run homer. Johnson pitched well, throwing a shutout through 6 innings. He was pulled after allowing 2 Utes to reach in the 7th, but Jose Guerrero allowed 1 to score and erased the other on a double play.

Toledo added a run in the 8th as Steve Werden stole home on a double steal. In the bottom 8th Utah scored a run but Paul Williamson came in to end the threat, and pitched 1.2 innings for the save. Toledo wins 3-2.
