Wild Card: NY Knights vs Toledo

 Game 1:

Robert Rosario doubled in the first, but hurt his knee sliding into 2nd and had to be removed from the game. Light hitting shortstop Jeff Peterson hit a 2 run homer in the second off Dorian Ivey, who had struck out 300 in the regular season. Ivey struck out 9 in 4 2/3 innings but allowed 3 runs and left the game in the 5th with a sore elbow. Mark Stevens pitched 7 innings, allowing 1 run, and Jerry Foster got the 2 inning save as NY won 4-2.

Game 2:

This game was all Cary Lee. He pitched a scoreless first and then came up with 2 on and hit a 3 run homer off Juan Hernandez. Next time up, he hit a 2 run homer. Lee pitched 7, allowing 2 runs and striking out 8. Hernandez went the distance despite allowing 7 runs. Toledo won 7-2 to even the series.

Game 3:

Cary Lee again started the scoring with a 2 run homer in the 3rd, this time while playing right field. Toledo added a run in the 5th off Drew Tobin, who pitched a quality start ( 6 IP, 3 runs). Michael Farley allowed 2 runs over 7, both on hits by #9 hitter Greg West. West had a homer in the 5th and a single in the 7th. Rosario, back in the lineup in a knee brace, went 2-4 as the designated hitter.

Toledo asked Ryan Sargent for a 2 inning save, protecting a 1 run lead, and he delivered. He struck out 2 in a perfect 8th. He struck out the first 2 in the 9th, then got Robert Zoffinger on a grounder to second.

Toledo will face Las Vegas next.
