Florida v New York Game 3

With their backs against the wall, the New York Cobra faced their old teammate, Buddy Dervish. They got two on in the first inning, but Ken Jones bounced into a 3-6-3 double play.

In the bottom of the first, Angel Garcia singled and then stole second and third. Juan Penales was in a hole after taking pitches to let him steal, and struck out. Juan Barraco then struck out Conn. Don Glenn delivered a 2 out single and the Penguins led 1-0.

Dervish handled his old mates, pitching 7 shutout innings, striking out 8, walking none, and allowing 6 hits. In the bottom 7th, Florida held a 3-0 lead. Penales singled, and Conn crushed the baseball, saw it driven before him, and heard the lamentations of Brad.

With the score 5-0, the Penguins went to Jake Richardson for the 8th, and Grant Hansen for the 9th. Hansen got Adrian Sandusky to fly to center, Gromit grabbed the ball and Florida will head to the championship series.
