SLDS Louisville v Mars

 Louisville scored 2 in the 3rd on a 2 run double by Sislau Iser. Jimmie Walker added a homer in the 5th. Sluggers forced Jeffery Anderson to throw a lot of pitches, he left after throwing 89 in only 4 innings, walking 5 and striking out 4.

Slugger ace Andy Roughton left the game with an injury in the 3rd, but reliever Tom Ford pitched 4 1/3 scoreless innings, striking out 6. Closer Ricardo Osuna came on for a 2 run save. He allowed a run in the 8th, but was able to hold on to a 3-1 win.

Game 2:

Jimmy Flannery went deep twice, a pair of 3 run homers, and the Sluggers knocked Pedro Cruz out early. Bernardo Cardenas pitched a solid 6 inning, 3 run game with 9 strikeouts, and Walt Carson struck out 5 in the last 2 innings. Louisville won 8 to 5.

Jamie Lannister, who had not played since late July, is back on the playoff roster and went 2-9 in the first 2 games. Mars returns to the red planet down 2-0 as the Sluggers look to finish the series.

Roughton was diagnosed with an oblique strain and will miss the rest of the postseason.
