Game 162

Only two regular season games remain on the schedule.  Here's the wrap up for the season finale:

Miami 7 Orlando 1.

Stars snap a late season 6 game losing streak (while resting their best players) and finish with 101 wins.  Orlando falls 1 game short of the 2nd wild card, which will go to Baltimore.  Tim Sullivan finishes 17-9.  Miami gets relief innings from Jered DeMario and Tom Vercetti in an effort to keep them sharp for the division series.  Joe Young sat out the game, but still wins the triple crown with a .351 average, 37 homers, and 120 RBI.

Baltimore 3 Louisville 1

Chris Johnson pitches the Colts into the playoffs.  In the previous game, Storm Morris won his 16th game, giving him 256 for his career.

Toledo 3 Charlotte 2

Jordan DeVito's 2 run homer in the 6th ends the run for defending champ Charlotte, as they finish 1 game back of Baltimore.

Chicago 6 Springfield 5

Winds finish 82-80, first winning season in a while.

Utah 3 Phoenix 0

Lucas Velasquez goes 8 2/3 innings, and Keith Langford strikes out Joe Greble to force a game 163 against Texas.  The winner gets the division and the loser plays Baltimore in the wild card series.  Frank Lewis was injured and unable to play, but is expected to be ready for the playoffs.

Once again Florida and Toronto will play the wild card game in the Major league.  Cleveland wins the Superior league central.  New York (103-59) wins the east, and Denver the central.

Hawaii 5 Bay Area 4.

Hounddogs prevent Bay Area from celebrating a division title.  Yoda Skywalker's 3 run triple put them up 4-0 in the 5th.  With a 5-2 lead in the 9th, Shadow Russell allowed a runner to reach on error, and Jason Rosario followed with a 2 run homer.  A walk and single later, Ryan Harris flew out to deep center with the winning runs on base.

This leaves one game, Portland and Justin Zoolander must beat the Shockers and Brett Edwards to force a game 163.  To be played tomorrow.
