Holmes Back to Utah

Kermit Holmes was traded from Las Vegas to Utah for 1b/OF Vince Ricard. Holmes, 40, has only hit .226 this season and has little skill left. He will likely retire after the season with over 3300 career hits, but he gets a chance to retire in Utah where he had his best seasons, and help the team as a backup outfielder.

Holmes hit .400 in 1996, and scored 169 runs two years later in helping Utah to 4 world championships. He's a career .325 hitter, with a .405 OBP.
