Contract Extensions

A few players agreed to contract extensions that will keep them from the free agent market this winter.

In Baltimore, catcher Jesse Myers agrees to a 3 year, 60 million dollar deal. He has become the best catcher in the league, hitting .318 with strong defense and developing power. Catcher Tommy Miller resigns in Charlotte for 3 years, 24 million. The New York Knights lock up the right side of their infield, Ho Chi Fat and Mike Perry, for 4 years each. Fat will earn 60 million, and Perry 36.

Louisville resigns one of the game's best closers in Chad Anderson to a 4 year, 44 million dollar deal. While they are in last place, the Sluggers hope to rebuild quickly and give him some leads to save.

And the biggest deal of the day is in Philadelphia, where Rocky Balboni signs a 7 year, 126 million dollar extension.
