Rick Vaughn

Rick Vaughn was removed from Boston's rotation today. He will pitch again for the team only if necessary due to another starter getting injured. He's having a horrible season, 3-15 with a 7.56 ERA.

If this is the end of Vaughn's career, his record is 210-205. He has 3541 strikeouts? Will he have enough to make the Hall of Fame? Vaughn has only won more than 15 games twice in his career, but he has a Cy Young award, 7 seasons of a sub 3.00 ERA, and 8 seasons of 200 or more strikeouts. At age 38, Vaughn is pitching in his 20th season.

I played with Vaughn when he was a kid. He could still help a team, he just needs to put some spit on the ball and have faith in the Lord.
