Some surprises at the top of the draft. Nobody expected a high school second baseman to go #1 overall. Art Hughes was not on many teams' draft boards, but has shown a late velocity bump and was consistently clocked over 100 MPH, plus he's a lefty.
Phoenix takes a closer at #3. Chris Hall was not in the consensus top 5. Charlotte may have the steal of the draft so far, as Alex Munoz was a potential #1 overall but slipped to them at #5.
