No Hitters in the Major League this Year

Two pitchers threw no-hitters in the Major League this year, and both pitched for the Portland Decepticons.

On April 22nd, Bill Drummond blanked the Hawaii Hounddogs by a score of 11-0.  Drummond struck out 7, walked none, and pitched to the minimum of 27 batters.  The only blemish in the game was an error by shortstop Mike Schofield that was immediately erased by a double-play ground ball.

On May 24th, the great Roger Lewis finally threw the first no-hitter of his career.  Roger had long been considered one of the most likely pitchers to throw a no-hitter based on his dominant 98 mph fastball.  Roger dominated the St. Louis Robins, striking out 13 batters but walking 5 in a 4-0 victory.
