Superior League 2013

Stats are up through June 1st. Utah and Charlotte are leading their divisions, as usual. The entire East division is over.500, but Miami has vaulted to a 36-18 start to lead the league.

Miami is doing this mostly with pitching and defense. Joe Young is batting 368/444/640, but has only played in 33 games. What's worse is that Joe is suffering from knee pain and will also miss the next month. He has been almost exclusively a DH this year, playing only 1 game in the field. 40 year old Brant Bowen, signed at the end of spring training, has hit .364 while providing great defense at first.

While Las Vegas is not a contending team, Joe Callahan is off to the best start of his career, at 8-3 with a 2.37 Era and 82 strikeouts. He has even completed 5 of his 11 starts.

Worse than Joe's knee pain? The fact that a fat yoda could out report a fine professional like Jeffrey Lamar Lewis. Run for the hills! This may be a sure sign of the apocalypse.
