Use this post to follow the 2009 draft. With the first selection, the Florida Penguins selected Conn Barbarian, son of the greatest homerun hitter in league history.
Toronto drafts next, followed by Cleveland, Orlando, St. Louis, and Texas. Soon, the entire draft order will be ready to post.
Note: All players will accept the standard rookie deal or standard major league contract. Except Takeo Miura, who will require a 3 year, 6 million dollar deal, after which he becomes an unrestricted free agent.

With the second pick in the 2009 Draft, Toronto Seagulls select catcher, Jesus Valdez.
Cleveland picks next.
With the 3rd pick of the draft, Cleveland selects LHP David Tyler.
With the 4th pick of the 2009 APBA draft, Orlando selects shortstop Jesus Bautista.
With the 5th pick of the 2009 APBA draft, St. Louis selects outfielder and Scotsman Robert T. Bruce.
With the 6th pick of the 2009 APBA draft, Texas selects Longhorns catcher Brad LaRatta.
With the 7th pick of the 2009 APBA draft, Phoenix selects pitcher Clay Buttholz.

With the 19th pick in the 2009 APBA Draft, the Las Vegas Gamblers select SP Darin "Magic Man" Makowsky. Not to be confused with former Green Bay QB Dan "Magic Man" Majkowski. Also, Darin's name is pronounced just like it is written. "ma-kow-SKY" and not "ma-kow-SKI".
With the 20th pick in the 2009 APBA draft, Hollywood selects outfielder Arnie Medeiros.

With the 22nd pick, Detroit takes fireballing young Texan N. Ryan Justice, from McMaynerberry High.
Chicago selects RHP John Wallace.
Bay Area selects SS Robert Zoffinger. Miami is up next.
Miami selects SS Prince Ferreira, 5'7, 155 pounds, home to first in 3.7 seconds.
We'll try to sign him away from College Basketball. Prince can ball.
Philadelphia takes 1B Jake Riggs.
