White hopes to play again in 2016

Chad White was initially expected to miss the remainder of the 2016 season after tearing a back muscle.  White recently flew to Germany where he will visit a mad scientist in search of a miracle recovery.  

New York remains hopeful that Chad will return for the playoffs.

Florida acquires Maldonado

The Florida Penguins traded for Alex Maldonado, sending minor league infielders Ryan Lawrence, CJ Crom, Valery Dauphin, and pitchers Bill Berard and Jesus Perez to the Rabbits.

Florida's lineup was in desperate need of a power bat.  Maldonado has played outfield for his entire career, but Florida's outfield is full with Conn, Gerald Jr, and Gromit.  Maldonado will be moved to first base. 

Asked about the transition, GM Yoda replied "first base he will play.  Easy it is.  Tell him, el jawa will."
